Zoetermeer is één van de steden die vlak bij Den-Haag ligt en vele mogelijkheden biedt voor de toerist. Zoetermeer is sinds 1962 groeikern van Den-Haag. Met ruim 124.000 inwoners kan Zoetermeer als middelgrote stad worden aangeduid, het is de derde grote gemeente van Zuid-Holland. Vroeger was Zoetermeer een echt dorp. Door de grote behoefte aan huisvesting werd Zoetermeer langzaam uitgebreid tot een betrekkelijk flinke stad met een aantal leuke bezienswaardigheden. De kern van Zoetermeer laat een groot aantal winkels zien en geeft de echte shopper een voldoende gevarieerd aanbod, om een paar uur ontspannen te winkelen. Ook is Zoetermeer een goed uitgerust gebied qua restaurantjes. Ruim voldoende eetgelegenheden om de bourgondiër te plezieren. Italiaans, Vietnamees, Aziatisch, vis en sushirestaurants is nog maar een kleine greep uit het ruime aanbod.

Het Westerpark
Het Westerpark is een heerlijk park, niet alleen voor de mensen die in Zoetermeer wonen maar ook voor degene die deze stad bezoeken. In het park vindt je een natuurtuin en schapenweides. Ook kan een potje golf worden gespeeld en kinderen kunnen zich prima vermaken in een grote speeltuin. In de zomer zijn er waterfietsen te huur en je kunt het hele jaar door bowlen. Een betaalbaar restaurant nodigt uit voor een kop koffie! Kortom een park wat voor groot en klein een geweldig dagje uit kan betekenen.
